Backdraft Muzzle Brake
Hawkins Precision’s Backdraft is the newest self-timing muzzle brake in the line-up. This 4-port brake features rearward port geometry to increase recoil reduction for heavy hitting cartridges. Think of it like a Tank ST turned to 11.
The Backdraft features a self-timing, locking collar (on .990″ models) that allows the user to install their brake and lock down the collar so it times on the barrel exactly the same way every time it’s installed.
The Backdraft also shares the same 3/8 Hex/Allen opening up front so users can torque down their muzzle brake to the same torque value every time. This, combined with the locking collar, allows for consistent mounting with minimal to no POI shift when removing and reinstalling. (Recommended 65 in-lbs. to 100 in-lbs.)
Available outside diameters are: .990” in 5/8-24 thread, .875 in 5/8-24 thread, and .750 in 1/2-28 thread. .875 and .750″ O.D. versions do not come with locking collars due to a lack of material.
